8th Graders are learning about natural and synthetic materials. During a lab, they combined two natural materials to create a synthetic material that can be used in the medical field to pack wounds. Furthermore, they addressed the impact the harvest of these materials can have on a marine environment. They also thought about additional uses for the product they made.
