Students in 6th grade rotated to different stations in order to examine prehistoric cave paintings. They worked in groups of 2 or 3 to identify the visual elements of the paintings and to formulate questions they still had after examining the images. As a follow up activity, we discussed how old they are thought to be and what part of the world they were found in. The discussions that students had were so insightful and enlightening.
