Board games were one of the inventions that came out of ancient Mesopotamia.

In class today, students became familiar with the Royal Game of Ur, a game that was created in ancient Mesopotamia around 2600 B.C.E. This game is one of strategy and luck. Modern games that have similar rules are Trouble or Sorry. Students were able to challenge one another or play against the computer.  Overall, students found this to be a fun activity that may have caused a little competition and frustration!
