Baseball Update

On Wednesday September 18th, The Warriors Baseball Team won their first game of the season 11-1 against Ottawa Shephard. On a night where we honored our one and only 8th grader Tyler "Newbs" Newbery, the team rallied around their 8th grader and came up with a huge win.

Defensively this was our best game of the year as well. The squad committed no errors and was highlighted by the stellar catching of Kyler Herring behind the plate.

At pitcher, Tyler Newbury himself threw 5 and 2/3 innings of one run baseball only giving up 3 hits and striking out 8 batters! Easton Williams then came in to get a strike out on a pivotal last out to end the 6th inning.

The boys bats also game alive! Everyone in the starting line-up got a hit with Zach Berry, Blaize Tovera, and Kohen Cleary getting Multiple hits. Brady Harms also went 2-2 with gap-shot doubles and drove in 2 RBI while Jase Pshak went 3-4 including a walk off hit to score two runs to end the game 11-1! The team got a well deserved win and we are proud of each and every one of them.

Regionals start next week, and we hope to take this momentum into the tournament!
