National First Responders Day is celebrated annually on October 28 to honor the work of first responders, including police officers, firefighters, EMTs, and paramedics. The 6th grade Social Studies class at Pontiac Junior High School wrote letters thanking them for their dedication to keeping our community safe and then put together treat bags to let them know they are appreciated this day and every day.
