Students had the task of independently reading the resumes of four Mesopotamian rulers, Sargon, Hammurabi, Darius the Great, and Cyrus the Great. Their main task was to choose a job from a list of 25 modern jobs for each ruler based on their experience and job skills. Even though all leaders had similar skills, they could not give the leaders the same job. Students had to provide text evidence from the resumes to support their choices and then share out with their classmates. The students all did a great job!
After tallying the students' selection for each ruler, the final job selection was the following:
Sargon - President (24)
Hammurabi - Police Officer or Lawyer (11)
Cyrus the Great - Military General (27)
Darius the Great - Architect (18)
