SOCU came to do a financial literacy activity with our 5th graders! Students used the luck of a bag of M&M's to determine a budget and then they had to purchase their needs and wants based on their income! We want to thank SOCU for providing this experience for us!

Check out all of our Honor Roll, Straight A, and BUG award winners. We are so proud of all their hard work! Way to go Warriors! We hope that everyone has a great LONG weekend 🐰!

What a perfect day for a little extra recess and a refreshing popsicle! These students have all done an incredible job continuing to read at home during the 4th quarter. Each of them earned this reward by reading at least 375 minutes by April 14th. Keep reading.....there are more rewards to earn!
Thank you to PTO for helping to fund this Road to Reading project and to all the parents and teachers who continue to encourage our students to read more.

Washington and Central Reading Buddies had an amazing visit today!! We read books, colored, and even took advantage of the great weather for some outside time!!

Plan accordingly for our Earth Day Spirit Week!

Washington 4th and 5th graders have been trying to combat the rainy weather we have been having this week by sharing their favorite rainy weather activities. From a good book to curl up with, to a favorite family indoor activity, our kids know how to chase away the rainy weather blues!

4th grade finished up their energy unit by making cards with simple circuits inside of them. Students got to design their own card, and then worked together to make a working circuit with a LED light, copper tape, and a button battery. They loved making this project their own!

😍What a fantastic Valentine's Day celebration we had today! 🎈 From lively parties to an exciting estimation guessing game and dressing up as what we want to be when we grow up for Kindness Week, it was a day full of joy and creativity! 💕 Remember, there's no school this Monday for President's Day, so enjoy your long weekend! 😍

Can you guess what all of these Washington students have in common?? They have all read at least 375 minutes, at home, for the "Road to Reading" project we are doing. Congratulations for earning the PIZZA reward. Thank you to all of the families who have supported this project by encouraging your students to read more at home. Students earn rewards for every 75 minutes they read, but the next pizza reward will be for reading 750 minutes by 3/17/2025.

With snow in the forecast, all thoughts turn to a potential snow day. Snow day superstitions run deep. See what Washington School students do to help the snow day cause 😂. ❄️
