Reminder that tomorrow begins our 12 Days of Christmas Break at Washington. Wear your Rudolph Red to cheer on the ISU Redbirds, and don't forget those SACK LUNCHES in a disposable container!
As we say goodbye to all things fall and Thanksgiving, we prepare for "The 12 Days of Christmas Break"! We have lots of fun activities coming up plus a lot of dress-up days shown on the calendar. Help us get in the Christmas spirit by participating when you can.
Today students and staff enjoyed our annual Thanksgiving Balloon Parade! Students created and built a balloon design that was shown off during the parade. We had lots of fun and very creative "floats!" Thank you to Mr. Miller, our grand marshal, for leading our parade! We even had a special appearance from the "big guy" to end our parade and kick off the holiday season. We wish you all a Happy Thanksgiving! We will see students when they return Monday, December 2!
Today we were thankful for the opportunity for our Washington students to partner up with Central school reading buddies. Students listened to each other read and did a craft together. This was a wonderful experience that showed great leadership and friendship.
We are proud to announce that Washington school students collected 525 items for a local food pantry. We are very thankful for you all. Happy Thanksgiving!

Washington students and staff had lots of fun during day 4 of American Education Week. We pulled off a "switch day" and wrote about what we would do if we were the principal. Be ready for tomorrow - it's School Spirit Day!!

Today during American Education Week, we took the time to thank someone that has helped us with our education in one way or another. We also celebrated with Wear One Color Day. Tomorrow is another fan favorite of Work Out Wednesday!
Today Washington students and staff rolled into Monday by being comfy in their pajamas for American Education Week! Tuesday 11/19 will be "Wear All One Color Day".

It’s getting close to time for another Quarterly Raffle Drawing!!
If you haven’t bought any raffle tickets yet this quarter, you can buy them at the school store and possibly win a Kindle Fire, wireless mouse, fast food lunch, or headphones.
Each raffle ticket is 5 Washington Bucks and the drawing will be held on Friday, December 20th!
It was Washington's turn to choose two students for Warrior of the Month at our school board meeting. Congrats to our 4th grader Lincoln Fiorini and 5th grader Aiden Melvin! These two students exemplify what it means to be a kind, respectful, and engaged student. Keep up the great work boys!
