Pizza orders are due THIS FRIDAY, APRIL 5, but you can sign up all the way until the event. 20 Washington Bucks are being awarded to every Washington School student, but ANYONE and EVERYONE is welcome to come to the event. So call your grandmas, grandpas, moms, dads, brothers, sisters, and friends so you can get a team together. If you wouldn't mind, would you please share so we can spread the word. We can't wait to see who will take home the trophy for our 2nd annual Kid Trivia Night!
4th and 5th graders took a trip into outer space thanks to the awesome ⭐️Star Lab ⭐️from U of I Extension McLean County STEAM in the Classroom! Students were able to learn about how the moon 🌝 changes into different phases, and how solar and lunar eclipses work. All of the students loved the experience, and thought it was cool to go into the gigantic dome. We are pumped for the solar eclipse on Monday, April 8th! Make sure to turn in your child's permission form in by Friday, April 5th!
Today, we celebrated good behavior and positive choices with a jump start to our spring break by showing off our fantastic dance moves 💃🕺💃🕺at the Neon Dance. We will see everyone back on Tuesday, April ✌️ after a much deserved spring break. #keeponglowing🕶 #springbreakfun
"Ms. Zega and Mrs. Edinger's class have been getting into the March Madness spirit! They have spent the month of March doing a March Madness Tournament of Books. Each day the students would listen to the 2 stories of the day and vote on their favorite. The final four included We Do Not Eat Our Classmates, A Tale of Two Beasts, Orion and the Dark, and Do Not Open This Book. Today we finished the tournament and crowned the winner, We Do Not Eat Our Classmates!"
Mrs. Farley's class would like to thank Domino's Pizza in Pontiac for the generous and delicious pizza donation! Our class met our goals and decided to celebrate with a pizza party; when Domino's offered to donate the pizzas we thought it was a perfect example of the rewards that come when you work hard and achieve a goal! Thank you again for your kindness, Domino's!
Part 2 of 4th grade finished up learning all about energy! For our end of the unit project the students were challenged with designing a chain reaction machine that showed at least 3 energy transfers, and completed a task. Check out some of the successful machines!

Congratulations to our final Treasure Chest winner - Will Diaz. The Book Blast is going strong as we approach these last few days of the event. When 60% of the classroom students register and invite 10+ friends and family members, that teacher will earn a $100 shopping spree. If ALL the classroom students invite 10+ friends and family members, the teacher will earn a $200 shopping spree.
