Mila Matic recently completed 2 presentations for her teachers that displayed her knowledge and understanding of her hearing loss along with the support she needs to be successful at school. She currently is the only student at Washington Elementary School with a hearing loss, and she is proud of that! Mila worked very hard on her presentation and her teachers are proud of her!

Groundhog's Day + Students' Predictions = A "Will Spring Come Early?" Line Plot
This week students at Washington were polled as to whether or not THE groundhog would see his shadow (6 more weeks of winter) or not see his shadow (an early spring). They converted their votes into a line plot. The key shows that each groundhog equals two votes for spring.
Based on the line plot, it looks like Washington School students are in agreement with the groundhog. We, too, predict an early spring! Bring it on! We are ready!
